What a Full Glass Garage Door Is
A full glass garage door is an overhead sectional door where nearly the whole face is glass held in slim aluminum rails. It lifts on tracks the same way a standard sectional does. WANJIA Hiseng builds two versions: the Modern Framed Glass Garage Door, and the frameless mirrored door with one-way reflective privacy. The framed one runs aluminum profiles in 2.5 mm and 6 mm thickness, which keeps the sections stiff without making them heavy.
You'll see these doors on houses, but also on cafes, car showrooms, gyms and studio partitions. Daylight comes in through the panels, so a garage stops feeling like a cave. The trade-off is straightforward. More glass means more light and less insulation than a solid insulated panel, and the glass build-up you pick decides how much of each you get.
Every door is made to your rough opening. Nothing here comes off a shelf. You send width, height, headroom, side room and backroom, and the factory builds to those numbers from drawings or samples.
Frame, Glass and Operator
Four things decide how a full glass garage door looks and behaves day to day.
Aluminum Frame
Profiles in 2.5 mm and 6 mm thickness on the framed door, 1.5 mm on the aluminum sectional. Aluminum won't rust, which matters on coastal builds.
Glass Build-Up
Clear, frosted, tinted, coated, laminated or insulated glass. Colors run blue, dark brown, green, grey, frosted and black mirrored. Each one changes light, privacy and heat gain.
Opener and Safety
Remote control open, stop and close with an auto light. Obstacle auto-reverse is standard, an infrared photo-eye is optional, and overload and overheat protection guard the motor.
Manual Release
When the power drops, the manual release lets you lift the door by hand. That's the difference between a stuck garage and a two-minute job.

Framed and frameless doors solve different problems. The framed door carries glass in aluminum rails, so you can swap glass types panel by panel and still get a strong section. The frameless mirrored door uses 5 mm single-layer black glass or 5 mm aluminum plate, tempered, with one-way reflective privacy. That mirror finish blocks the view in during daylight. It also reflects solar heat, which helps in a west-facing garage. Weight sits differently too. A framed door spreads load across the rails, while a mirrored door puts more of it into the glass itself, so the opener and track have to be sized for it.
Ordering from an overseas factory is less mysterious than it sounds. Measure the rough opening at three points and take the smallest number, then note headroom above the opening, side room beside it, and backroom behind the tracks. Send those, plus your glass choice and frame color, and you'll get a quote within 3 hours on average. Minimum order is 2 square meters, and sample orders are supported before a bulk run. Production usually takes 25-30 business days. Payment is bank transfer or T/T, with EXW, FOB or CIF terms, and doors ship in wooden box and frame packing from Guangzhou, Foshan or Shenzhen.

How much does an all glass garage door cost?
We don't publish prices because four variables move the number more than anything else: opening size, glass build-up, frame finish and the opener. A single tempered pane and a double-glazed Low-E unit are different products at different costs. Send your rough opening and glass preference and you'll get a written quote within 3 hours on average.
Are glass garage doors worth it?
For a house with a street-facing garage, usually yes. You get daylight into a room that's normally dark, and the door becomes part of the facade instead of a blank panel. The honest trade-off is thermal performance. Glass insulates less than a filled panel, so if the garage is conditioned space, spec insulated or Low-E glass and accept the higher cost.
How much does a 10x10 glass garage door cost?
Size alone doesn't set the price, so a 10x10 figure depends on what goes in it. A 10x10 opening is a common residential size and we build to it as a custom unit, not from stock. Glass type, frame finish and operator choice will move the quote more than the dimensions will. Send the opening and we'll price it.
What is the difference between a full glass garage door and a half glass garage door?
A full glass door is glazed across nearly the entire face, so light and view are the point. A half glass garage door puts glass in the upper portion of each section with solid aluminum below, which gives more privacy at eye level and better insulation. Both are made to order here, so you can set the split line wherever you want it.
